Does MyShare need an internet connection?
No. All transfers happen inside your local network. As long as your devices are on the same Wi-Fi or LAN, they can discover each other and transfer files — even with the internet completely disconnected.
Which platforms are supported?
MyShare runs on iOS, Android, macOS, Windows and HarmonyOS, with full support for iPad and Android tablets. Any two devices running MyShare on the same network can exchange files, regardless of brand.
Is the transfer secure?
Yes. Transfers are encrypted end to end over TLS and files never pass through any third-party server. The source code is fully open, so you can audit it or build it yourself.
Can multiple people share files together?
Yes. MyShare supports shared group rooms: nearby devices join via QR code, and every file and message in the room is visible to all members — perfect for families, offices and classrooms.
